THE PENTHOUSE WINTER OH!-LYMPIC ISSUE IS GOING FOR THE GOLD!
PENTHOUSE INTERVIEWS SILVER-MEDALIST DANNY KASS, COMEDIAN DANE COOK and THE FLAMING LIPS

(Boca Raton, FL – February 9, 2006) Torino, Italy and Penthouse Magazine will each play host to the world’s best athletes this month, however, the Penthouse tribute will differ slightly to that of NBC’s coverage of the 20th Winter Olympic games. For starters, the enthouse interview featuring 2002 Snowboard silvermedalist, Danny Kass, is spaced between lay-outs of gorgeous, come-hither models. Likewise, it is uncensored and filled with a plethora of amusing quotes from the athlete himself. When Penthouse asks if he’s been offered a Wheaties box cover, Dave’s response is, “I would be on the cover of Count Chocula. I don’t think I’ve eaten a bowl of Wheaties in my entire life. There’s no marshmallows.” Mr. Kass also had a presidential run-in at the 2002 Winter Olympics which lead to the following excerpt, “In 2002, ‘GW’ said he didn’t know if he was cool enough to take pictures with the snowboarding team – and maybe he was right – but we took pictures with him anyway.”

Aside from being a veritable sound bite machine, Kass is a loyal brother, an entrepreneur and a quasireluctant friend to Justin Timberlake. This comedic Olympic medalist has a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. Presently, all he’s missing is the matching medal.

SPORTS – PH GUIDE TO THE 2006 WINTER OLYMPICS: The entertainment doesn’t stop with Danny Kass. Get the scoop on the 2006 Torino games and its hopefuls. Find out which Winter Olympic competitions are new and which ones are cool. Are there inner-team rivalries? You bet. who are the U.S. team “hotties” destined to heat up the games? Penthouse names a few of the eye-candy competitors, including: Snowboarder - Hannah Teter, Skeleton’s- Noelle Pikus-Pace and Figure Skater - Sasha Cohen.

COMEDY - DANE COOK: Dane Cook’s high-school guidance counselor once told him, “you can’t be a stand-up comic, it’s unrealistic.” Lucky for his rabid fan base, however, Dane didn’t listen to him. Instead, he heeded his father’s advise of, “if you want fans forever, play colleges.” And so Dane did. Consequently, his audience is comprised primarily of twenty-something’s and he has gone gold; selling nearly one million copies of his 2 comedy CD’s. Now, while Dane Cook may not be a household name in the same way that Steve Martin is, he’s more mainstream than you would think. In fact, he’s even had the opportunity to go liptocheek (butt cheek that is) with Charlize Theron on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and claimed that “Charlize smelled like Froot Loops!” That’s right, he hobnobs with fans and celebs and sniffs them too and after 15 years of doing the stand-up circuit, this “great Dane’s” day has come. Check out the March interview with this funny, funny man and find out why he is as golden as the CD’s he has sold.

MUSIC – THE FLAMING LIPS: The Flaming Lips are a psychedelic trio that despite drugs, death and martians, have managed to remain existential optimists. Their newest album, Cowboy Wizards and the Epic Space Machine has been released and their sublime minds, captured in the pages of this month's Penthouse.
